Let me clarify that – attended AS a vendor. I’m an avid shopper of markets but the view is different from the other side of the table. I had a wonderful time soaking up this new experience and the creative energy of the day! After the unpacking and after my feet and back stopped hurting, the two words that summed up the day were generosity and courage. My friends and family are incredibly supportive, not just at this show, but through every step of this journey. Everything from helping load, unload, and reload the van (this time in the rain) to checking in and cheerleading. I’m so very grateful for all it. I’ll tell you, it’s especially helpful when I need to shut-out the inner critic in my head. I realize that not everyone has that same kind of support when trying something new, and I have asked myself, would I still do this without it? The answer is yes. Maybe a bit differently, but yes. That energy was evident in their passion for giving us a space to conduct these small business ventures. The sharing that went on between vendors was also a gift. The ideas, encouragement, and tips that were exchanged had a value you cannot put a price on. For me, I was touched by the kind comments and feedback from the individuals that stopped by our booth. My sister and I were humbled by the sincerity of those that admired our work. It’s true, kind words have a lasting impact. And when people spend their hard-earned money on your product?
